Green coffee beans are raw, unroasted coffee beans. The roasting process seems to destroy some of the healthy, natural chemicals in the beans. Because of media attention, green coffee has become a popular supplement for weight loss. Coffee is grown extensively throughout the world for its seeds (or beans), especially in the warm regions of the Central and South America, Asia, Africa, and the Pacific Islands.
1. Weight loss
Some research has suggested that green coffee extract taken as supplements or in food may cause weight loss and reduce abdominal fat. Chlorogenic Acid, a compound found in Green Coffee Bean Extract that is thought to help the body regulate glucose levels and speed up metabolic functions.
